Contested Counterspell

You attempt to interrupt a creature in the process of casting a spell by making a contested spellcasting ability check.

Your spellcasting ability check modifier for the purpose of this spell is your spell attack modifier + 3 times the spell level of counterspell + 13.

The creature's spellcasting ability check modifier for the purpose of this spell is their spell attack modifier + 3 times the spell level of the spell the creature is trying to cast.

You and the creature roll a contested spellcasting ability check with these modifiers. If you succeed, the creature's spell fails and has no effect.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can add +3 to your contested spell check modifier for every level higher than 3rd, as stated above.
