You speak a telepathic message of twenty-five words or less to up to ten creatures with which you are familiar. A chosen creature hears the message in its mind and recognizes you as the sender if it knows you. The spell enables a creature with an Intelligence score of at least 1 to understand the meaning of your message.

You can send the message across any distance and even to other planes of existence, but if the target is on a different plane than you, there is a 5 percent chance that the message doesn't arrive.

Alternatively, instead of selecting targets, you can choose to send the message to all living creatures within 1 mile of you.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can send the message to all living creatures within 5 miles of you. This increases to 10 miles at 6th level, 15 miles at 7th level and 30 miles at 8th level. At 9th level, you can send the message to all living creatures on the same plane of existence as you.
