You place your hand to your forehead, accessing the told history of your family and those they have interacted with, and open a demi-plane of cognition, a realm of thought and understanding. Up to 10 willing creatures of your choice within 15 feet of you are shunted into the demi-plane of your creation. Your body remains in the material realm, however, is turned invisible and incorporeal. Creatures and objects can walk through your space, and even end their turn in your space with no ill effects. You become unconscious for the duration, however, you can speak telepathically aloud with anyone in the demi-plane, and you can perceive everything within the demi-plane through an invisible orb that can hover a number of feet equal to your walking speed.
The realm is an ever-shifting plane of books, scrolls, and information. Creatures within the realm may attempt to read the books, scrolls, and other objects within, succeeding on an intelligence check set by the DM. Simple information does not require an intelligence check.
This spell is physically and mentally straining on you. You can keep the realm open for less than an hour and suffer no ill effects while the creatures within search for information. If you attempt to keep the realm open for one hour, you suffer 2d10 psychic damage, which cannot be reduced in any way. If you lose concentration on the spell when taking this damage, creatures within do not gain the benefits of a short rest before leaving the realm.
Each hour you keep the realm open becomes more and more strenuous on your mind and body, culminating at the 8-hour mark. Nearing the end of 8 hours, you suffer 10d10 psychic damage which cannot be reduced in any way. If you lose concentration due to this damage, the inhabitants of your demi-plane are ejected back to the material plane and immediately suffer 5d10 psychic damage. In addition, you suffer 1 level of exhaustion and become incapacitated.
This spell is physically and mentally strenuous to maintain, and you cannot gain the benefits of any rest while it is open.
