A stream of acid fires from your finger to a point you can see within range. The stream forms a ball that balloons outwards at a frighting rate before exploding in a splash of acid. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 5d8 acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Targets that fail the save are coated in acid and affected by corrosion.
Corrosion- Target takes (1d8) acid damage at the beginning of each of its turns equal to one hit die of the damage that triggered it and a -1 penalty to its AC. This effect stacks each time it triggers without being removed, up to three times (3d8 acid damage and a -3 penalty to AC). Upon being removed, the AC penalty is immediately negated. The AC penalty has no effect against AC granted by a spell or other nonphysical force (shield, shield of faith, mage armor, etc)
The acid spreads around corners. It also coats objects that aren't be worn or carried, dealing damage to and potentially destroying nonmagical objects.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
