Up to 3 creatures are granted the ability to gracefully move at normal speed across any solid surface greater than half an inch thick without losing their balance. Non-magical forces such as earth quakes, wind gusts, waves, or forceful actions by other creatures may cause them to be pushed or slowed, but cannot cause them to fall, trip, or in any way lose their balance. For example, while walking along a tight rope, the target of the spell may have their movement hindered by a gust of wind, however, they will not be knocked off the rope or lose their balance. Ability checks for slippery surfaces are rolled with advantage.
Enhance Ability is a 2nd level spell that gives one target advantage on a choice of ability checks. This, a cantrip, grants THREE creatures advantage in a confined range of checks, and arbitrary immunity to magical forced movement. This is way too powerful for a cantrip.
Constructive suggestion:
There may be hope.... Perhaps this gives a SINGLE creature advantage on ability checks to avoid being pushed or knocked prone while standing still, like 3e Dwarven Defender.
Otherwise, maybe this would be better as a 1st level spell. It would be a natural counter to Grease. Maybe the surface becomes "sticky" enough to grant advantage on ability checks to avoid being knocked prone or magically moved.
I'd love to see what you think of a new spell I designed recently, please comment: Illusive Wounds
This is actually a really neat cantrip spell, and a pun!
Amazing work dude!
Sorry for not replying earlier, I have been away from Beyond for awhile. You make a great point about it possibly being too powerful for a Cantrip. However, I sort of feel it would not turn the tide of any battle, especially at higher levels and is more useful in non-combat situations. With that said, even the slightest advantage in combat can have an impact, so I can definitely see your point.
Thank you very much. Cheers!
Ya it cool and funny
its a pun-
This is too powerful for a cantrip, but I appreciate the pun. I think that this could be easily modified to be more balanced :-) if it required concentration, forget the duration, keep the range no more than 30ft, and restrict it to one target/self.
Example: the caster could still stand on one side of a slippery log less than 30ft and still allow the party to cross one at a time.
