You create a column of rapidly rising air, which lifts creatures caught in the gust. Choose a point you can see within range. A massive burst of air rises from that point, affecting a 5-foot-radius, 40-foot-high cylinder. All creatures caught in the area must make a Strength saving throw. A creature can willingly fail this save. On a failed save, a creature is carried to the top of the cylinder, and pushed up to 5 feet away from the center of the cylinder in a direction of your choice. On a successful save, a creature is only carried halfway to the top of the cylinder, and isn’t pushed. Creatures that are Huge or larger have advantage on the saving throw against this spell. 

After being carried in this way, a creature falls, unless it has some other means of keeping itself aloft or supported, and takes damage accordingly. 

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the height of the cylinder increases by 10 feet for each slot level above 2nd.
