This is the worst and most forbidden of spells to be conjured into the world. Even if it is meant to be for the greater good, is there any way to excuse the sheer damage that this spell causes to those that may survive and the damage that is done to the surrounding land. It is rarely sought after as the components for this spell are so extremely expensive. Yet the wishes of the kingdom may deem it necessary to cast this forbidden spell.
This is a ritual spell that will kill the caster once it has been released to its target. the target will be determined with a second arcane user that will be able to locate the target itself. This second person does not need to stay for 100 hours. For targeting, the second arcane user will need to make a con saving throw against radiation sickness for 5 days (to be described below.) The caster will hold these components as though holding a glowing star before it is released to the target. This is a visual targeting spell and thus the reason for the second arcane user. Once the spell is released by the second Arcane caster the one that performed the ritual must make a role to see if they turn to dust, or become a gibbering mouther. This is a DC of 18 to not become an aberration.
Ground zero or where this ball of light touches the target or ground becomes a ball of fire, wind, and blinding light. With gale force or tornado winds will be within the area of effect potentially causing different ranges of being thrown back. Even with these great winds there is no blowing out the unnatural fires of this spell. All of these elements of this spell will die down after 1 day. After this point the land will look devastated, but the arcane magic in this location will be twisted and wrong. All spells cast within this area will go wild, those that are not spell casters will be able to tell the wrongness of this environment. The closer they get to the blast zone increasing con saves will need to be made to save against radiation sickness. The magic of this area is trying to deteriorate living creatures, twisting them slowly into something else, something wrong. If individuals remain in the area of effect they risk turning into an aberration of some type. The change will start after 1d10 hours of staying in the area of effect. They player will need to make a roll to see what aberration they turn into and be deemed as cursed until they can receive remove curse. There will not need to worry about alignment change, and they will be conscious of themself, but their ability to communicate may be affected. There will be a chart for which aberrations they can potentially become.
Radiation sickness can be reversed with cure disease or remove curse.
If the person's body turns to dust there is no chance of resurrecting them. this is important for those with in the immediate blast zone, and if someone's con reaches zero.
