The body double spell allows the caster to create a copy of the caster that can affect and be affected by affliction and action. Despite the body double having an aetherial look, it can interact with the world the same way a physical body could. The body double acts either by verbal or cognitive instructions given by the caster, however all physical affliction despite hazardous vapors and illnesses are reflected upon the caster. If the body double exceeds 40ft, the caster has to make a concentration save. The body double cannot use spells.
The stats of the body double reflect the user however, the body double isn't capable of using modifiers. The DM should interpret this as a separate character on the field that is controlled by the caster, not as an action, bonus action, legendary action, etc.
