You create three glowing spheres of magical force that swirl around your head . As soon as a creature hits you with an attack you can immediately choose to have any number of the spheres hit the creature. Each sphere deals 1d4 force damage. As soon as you use all spheres the spell ends

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell creates one more sphere for each slot level above 1st.
