You call forth a blade of ice into your open hand. The type of blade varies dependant on the level of the spell slot used to conjure the weapon. A dagger for a first level spell slot, a shortsword for a second level spell slot, a longsword for a third level spell slot, or a greatsword for a fourth level spell slot.
You may have two such blades active at any given time. Each blade lasts for 10 minutes under normal conditions. In extreme cold, the blade lasts indefinitely; while in extreme heat, it lasts for a number of rounds equal to your spellcasting modifier + the level of spell slot used to cast the spell (minimum 1 round). When the spell ends, the blade melts instantly back into water at the end of your turn. The blade also melts if you dispel it as a free action, and the oldest blade is dispelled if you attempt summon a third one by casting the spell again.
Weapon attacks made with the blade are considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance and immunity, and inflict an additional 1d6 cold damage.
At Higher Levels. In addition to forming larger weapons, the cold damage is increased by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 1st.
