A stroke of pink lightning forming a line 100 feet long and 5 feet wide blasts out from you in a direction you choose. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d6 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. When you cast this spell, choose an hostile creature that you can see that is not in the line of the lightning bolt. That creature has to make a Wisdom saving throw or be in awe of your magical abilities. On a failed save, the creature's speed is now 0 and the target can't attack any creature that is allied to you. This effect ends if one of your allies attacks the creature or if the creature succeeds a Wisdom saving throw at the end of their turn. The awe effects lasts 1 minute.
This spell was famously used by the Drow Sorcerer Zorkor to defeat an aboleth who enslaved a city in the Underdark. Players might learn of this spell through history books or through folk legends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4rd.
