Necrotic energy wreathes your hands and corrupts the flesh of a creature you try to touch. Make a melee spell attack against the target. You have advantage on the attack roll if the target is not wearing armor. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 necrotic damage, and has disadvantage on the next Strength or Dexterity based ability check or attack roll it makes until the end of its next turn.  Instead of dealing damage to a living creature, this spell may be used to restore 1d8 hit points to a willing undead creature or to an undead creature you control, within melee range.  This spell may not be used to increase an undead creature's hit points beyond its hit point maximum. 

The spell's damage/healing increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
