Posted Nov 1, 2020When you say “One OR two creatures within range” surely you mean this spells works like that acid splash cantrip? Where you can choose to hit up to one other creature but only if it is within 5 feet of the original target? If so, do describe that part as well.

Posted Mar 25, 2021Actually when I wrote this spell I intended it to be just that, one OR two creatures. My vision was a wizard (or other caster) wiping their hands around like a water bender in Avatar, throwing freezing wind forward and back, and striking foes on all sides of them. To accommodate the multi target nature of the spell, its damage is reduced from a d8 or d10, which would be more typical of a cantrip, down to a d6. Less damage, but more targets. Thanks for you comment and I hope this clarifies things.

Posted Mar 28, 2021That makes sense. But I do think that since upcasting this only increases its damage, it should get a range buff of up to 60 feet, because of Eldritch Blasts "Repelling Blast" feature. The 1 or 2 creatures thing I think is fine, knowing this. (now here me out, maybe this should be a 15 cone? and it just deals like 1d6 or 1d8, half on a save? idk just throwing that out there two, cause its making me think of Icewind Dale's "Frost Fingers" spell.
