With an almost fiendish speed, you strike an enemy 8 times with your weapon in quick succession

A creature of your choice that doesn't have resistance to physical damage must make a dexterity saving throw. If the save is failed roll 8 of the martial weapons damage die used in the spell to deal that much damage to the creature. (Ie; roll 8d8 for a longsword)

If the creature saves, they take half of that damage.

When using a weapon with the "Versatile" property, use the lower damage die number (Ie; if attacking with a battleaxe, use 8d8 instead of 8d12)

Don't add any bonuses to the damage rolls with the exception of bardic inspiration and the weapons damage bonus once. (If your bardic inspiration can be added to damage rolls)

At Higher Levels: For every level spell slot used to cast above 3rd level, add 2 more damage die
