You touch a creature or object that is already in contact with another creature or object. The two targets are bound together by a magical force equal to 10 pounds for every square inch of contact between the targets, up to a maximum 10,000 pounds, until the spell ends, the force limit is exceeded, or you use your action to dismiss it. An unwilling target can make a Dexterity saving throw to avoid the effect. On a success, it removes itself from contact with the other target, such as by jumping or dropping the object, if it can, avoiding the effect.
A bound creature can attempt to free itself by using its action to make a Strength check against your spell have DC. This DC increases by 1 for each 1,000 pounds binding the targets together, up to an increase of 10. On a successful save, the spell ends and each target takes 10d4 piercing damage, as part of their skin is torn in the separation.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the adhesive force increases by 100 pounds per square inch and the maximum force increases by 10,000 pounds for each slot level above 2nd. The damage taken when a target is free increases by 5d4 for each slot level above 2nd.
