Choose a piles of bones, a corpse, or other bodily remains from an organic creature that are of a size suitable for creating a tiny, undead creature (at the GM's discretion). You produce strands of magical energy from your hand(s), or casting focus, that connect you to the undead creature you create from the remains.

The remains take on the statistics of a crawling claw (the GM has the creature's game statistics).

On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to manipulate the strands of magical energy to silently command the creature you made with this spell if the creature is within 60 feet of you, and you can see it. You decide what action the creature will take and where it will move during its next turn, or you can issue a general command, such as to guard a particular chamber or corridor. If you issue no commands, the creature only defends itself against hostile creatures. Once given an order, the creature continues to follow it until its task is complete, or moves out of your line of sight. The essence of the spell requires you to be able to see the creature in order to effectively manipulate the magical strands that cause it to function.

The creature uses your proficiency bonus for attack rolls, not it's own (+2).

The creature is under your control until the spell ends, after which the remains become inanimate once more.

This creature's damage die increases by 1d4 when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4).
