Blade Portal

                        There is a bit of a debate as to this spells origins. Many believe the great sage Elminster created this spell in his middle years. However, there is a glimmer of a rumor that an earlier chosen of the goddess of magic Mystra, the great mage known only as The Magistar used a protection such as this long before. Regardless of its creator, Blade Portal in the right hands could change the very fabric of a battle.

                       Caster creates an invisible field in front of willing target sized to fit. The field however only covers the front of target, not the back or sides. Only one casting can be active at a time by a single caster. (Prevents making any one side to powerful.) When an opponent attacks target with a physical weapon such as a bow or blade, the attack enters field and instantly reappears coming back towards attacker in a straight line. Damage that would be dealt to the target is in turn dealt in full to attacker. A Dexterity save at caster's DC with disadvantage to avoid all damage. Physical ranged weapons like arrows fly back in a straight line hitting the first thing in its path. Dispel Magic, Antimagic Field, or magical deadzones will negate Blade Portal. This field of protection only redirects physical weapons. Non-corporeal, spectral weapons, and spells pass straight through the area and hit or effect the target as normal. This field has no ability to redirect spells.

                        A mirrored crystal worth 1000gp is required for the casting. Hold the crystal squarely to the target and cast. The crystal is consumed with the casting.
