You target two willing creatures within range with an arcane tether. If a creature is unwilling, it makes a wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC.
If the spell takes effect, you choose one of the following effects that the creatures undergo. You can switch between these two effects with a bonus action.
Matching Polarity: the two creatures are unable to move closer to each other. If either creature attempts to, it must make a strength saving throw against a DC equal to your spell save DC + the strength modifier of the opposite creature. If it succeeds, it can move half speed towards the opposite creature. If it fails, it can only move away until its next turn.
Opposite Polarity: the two creatures are unable to away from each other. If either creature attempts to, it must make a strength saving throw against a DC equal to your spell save DC + the strength modifier of the opposite creature. If it succeeds, it can move half speed away from the opposite creature. If it fails, it can only move towards it until its next turn.
