Casting this spell enables a spellcaster to charge an edged or piercing weapon with a imbuement of neucrotic energy.  Once this weapon has been imbued it will deliver this energy to the next target it strikes similar to a Shocking Grasp spell.  The next person struck by the weapon will take the damage of the weapon used plus an additional 3d8 points of neucrotic damage from the imbuement.  Additionally the target must also make a reflex save from the transfered energy or it will leave a bleeding wound where it struck.

The bleeding wound left behind by the spell will continue to bleed for 1d4 points of neucrotic damage each round.  Additionally the bleeding wound will negate any bonuses from a high dexterity modifiers as well.  The wound will continue to bleed until bandaged, a cure wounds spell is cast on it, the target dies, or for a maximum duration of 1 minute per every 3 levels of the caster has been reached.

Creatures immune to neucrotic damage or do not bleed are immune to the effects of this spell.  Once a weapon is imbued by this spell it will cause the wound effect to the next target struck, so many spellcasters use this spell on missiles and thrown weapons because of the range advantage.  The only material component for this spell is the weapon used to transfer the wound attack.
