You conjure a mass of thick, writhing vines under a target's feet within range. The target takes 2d6 poison damage. The target must succeed on a DEX saving throw or be restrained for the duration. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and is not grappled.
Each creature that starts its turn in the webs or that enters them during its turn must make a STR saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d4 poison damage and remains restrained by the vines.
A creature restrained by the vines can use its action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC. If it succeeds, it is no longer restrained.
The vines are flammable. Any vines exposed to fire burns away in 1 round, dealing 2d4 fire damage to any creature that starts its turn in the fire.
For every level above first that you cast the spell, the spell deals an additional 1d6 poison damage.
