A beam of bright orange light is projecting from your fingertip towards to the intended target. When the spell ends, either because your concentration is broken or because you decide to end it, the rune blossoms with a low roar into an explosion of flame. A creature takes fire damage equal to the total accumulated damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one (DEX save).
The spell's base damage is 4d6. If at the end of your turn the rune has not yet detonated, the damage increases by 2d6.
At Higher Levels. When you case this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the base damage increases by 1d6 per slot level.
Note: Casting this spell takes 1 action of concentration, every turn after that can be spent attacking in ways that do not include other concentration spells.
