Upon cast, the user forms a magical, electrically charged quiver upon their back. The quiver is full of 1d10 Lightning Bolts. As an action, the caster can grab and throw a Lightning Bolt at a target, expending one Bolt from the quiver. Anyone caught within a 5-ft wide line between the caster and the target must roll a Dexterity Saving Throw, or take 2d10 Lightning Damage, half as much on a success. Alternatively, as a bonus action, the caster can expend a Bolt to give a piece of ammunition or melee weapon the Lightning attribute, granting the weapon 4d8 Lightning damage on top of the weapon's normal damage for its next attack. The quiver will last until all Bolts are expended, concentration is lost, or the spell is dismissed.
The Attribute effect of the spell costs one Spell Slot to cast, however the Lightning Bolt effect costs two total to cast.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th or higher level, the Bolt damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 3rd, the number of bolts by 1, and the attribute damage by 1d8.
