Choose a creature that you can see within range. As long as there is a sufficient amount soil or stones in the area, you can cause the earth to fly to the target, sticking to its body restricting sight and movement. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw to avoid as many of the clods as possible. On a failed save, the creature is blinded and grappled for the duration. On a successful save, the creature is just grappled. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make Strength saving throw to pull off the clods or pull free from them. On each success, a target can remove either the blinded or grappled condition imposed by this spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 2nd. The creature must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
