Upon the casting of this spell, the caster can block a specific memory from the mind of a thinking creature. The memory must be known to you and specific. For instance, you cannot say "Forget everything you did yesterday." You must be specific, for example, "Forget about the demons you saw me summon just now" is much more appropriate. This spell, however, cannot be used to make a subject forget a spell, a skill, or any special abilities, and it cannot be used to nullify the affects of other mind-affecting spells. Subjects forced to forget fairly potent memories may still have recurring, yet vivid, dreams about the forgotten memory. A wisdom saving throw of 20 is required to avoid losing any memories.
This spell is not class-locked. Anybody capable of grasping the verbal and somatic components is able to cast this spell when learned from either a spellbook, a teacher versed in the spell, or from a deity. Common folk who learn this spell use it to help loved ones forget traumatic memories or make their enemies forget vital information, depending on the alignment of the caster.
