Arcane Conjunction

 As you cast another spell you become a conduit of wild magical energy.  The gathered energy is unleashed and you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table.  The results of the Wild Magic Surge are applied after the results of the triggering spell have been determined and applied.  The triggering spell need not be successful or even completed for this spell to be cast.  Even if your triggered spell is counterspelled, this spell would still take effect.  Additionally, this spell may never be the target of a counterspell.  

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you may roll one additional time (per additional spell slot) on the Wild Magic Surge table and take whichever result you prefer.
