Once the spell is cast, a luminous orb only visible to the caster appears where they sit, the orb is locked in place and cannot be moved or destroyed. While the orb exists it allows the caster at will to both see and hear as if they were in the orb's place. The orb only dispels if the caster dies or upon the caster's choice.
The caster suffers disadvantage to perception checks and their passive perception is lowered by 2 while the orb is active, additionally while seeing through the orb the caster can not utilise the sight or hearing of their physical body.
The orb also provides the caster with a sixth sense, an ambient sense of danger that the caster always feels so long as the orb is active. The orb may also be used as a trigger for one creature or one species of creature only, the creature/species must be named during casting. When the creature in question comes within sight or hearing distance of the orb the caster is immediately forced to see and hear through the orb until the creature leaves the area.
