You can see and hear the happenings at a place and time, within a tenday and in a square space of 10ft by 10ft that cannot be moved, that is on the same plane of existence as you. The caster must roll a d20 + their spell modifier, saving from a DC of 12, which is modified by how well you know the targeted area and the sort of physical connection you have to it. (see charts bellow) If a creature during the scrying enters its range with divination and/or scrying protection, it might blur or block part of the caster's perception.

On a successful roll, the caster casts the spell without an issue and cannot use this spell again for 24 hours. A creature that can see invisible objects or have have Truesight sees the sensor as a luminous eye about the size of a fist.
On a failed save, the spell fails and the caster is thrown back strongly to the present. On a nat 1, the glass or gem eye cracks.
If cast with a spell slot of two levels higher, the caster can either see a tendays more in the past OR 10 ft farther.
