A creature you can see must make a constitution save at the end of its turn for the next three rounds.
If the target succeeds all three saves, the spell ends.
If the target fails one save, it takes 2d8 bludgeoning damage on its turn and it becomes blinded by floral blooms which begin to grow from the target's eyes.
If the target fails two saves, it takes 4d8 bludgeoning damage on its turn and becomes restrained. Root systems grow beneath the target's flesh and bouquets of flowers sprout from their skin.
If the target fails all three saves, it becomes petrified. Systems of roots puncture deep within the target and weave around its organs, supporting vines of floral growth that trail off the target's gnarled visage.
If any of the target's growth becomes damaged, it will grow back, inflicting an additional 2d8 bludgeoning damage. Once the spell has taken effect, one can remove the plant growth by casting greater restoration and one can negate the petrified condition by casting resurrection or wish.
