You create an illusory clone identical in all respects to the humanoid whose blood is consumed as a material component in the casting of this spell (the "Affected Humanoid"). Upon casting, the Affected Humanoid takes 5d10 necrotic damage, and his or her maximum hit points is reduced by the same amount. If this damage reduces the Affected Humanoid's hit point maximum to 0, the Affected Humanoid dies. The clone's hit point total is equal to the amount of damage dealt to the Affected Humanoid, and it cannot recover hit points by any means. If the clone's hit points are reduced to 0 or the spell ends for any reason, the clone dissipates into shadow.
You can use a Bonus Action to direct the clone each turn, and you can use your Action to perceive through the senses of the clone. The clone can physically interact with its surroundings, uses the STR/DEX/CON scores of the Affected Humanoid, and has an INT/WIS/CHR score of 1. The clone knows the same languages known by the Affected Humanoid but does not have the Affected Humanoid's proficiencies, class abilities, or spell lists.
You know how to collect one use's worth of blood from a willing, unconscious or incapacitated humanoid after 1 minute of effort. Creatures charmed by you are willing. This does not damage the humanoid. Collecting multiple uses of blood from a single humanoid during a single 24-hour period may harm the humanoid (and the more uses you collect, the more likely this will become).
