When you learn Chaos Dart, choose four different damage types from among: acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, radiant, and thunder. Number the chosen damage types one to four.
You propel a chromatic, scintillating dart of chaotic energy at one creature in range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d4 damage. Choose one of the d4s. The number on that die determines the attack’s damage type, as based on the chosen, numbered damage types.
The spell creates more than one dart when you reach higher levels: two darts at 5th level, three darts at 11th level, and four darts at 17th level. You can direct the darts at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll for each dart.
