You create three rays of fire and hurl them at targets within range. You can hurl them at one target or several.
Make a ranged spell attack for each ray. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 fire damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you create one additional ray for each slot level above 2nd.
Variation Casting. You can also choose to coalesce each ray into a single larger beam of fire. Make one attack role for the beam and role the appropriate number of dice for the number of rays combined. The increased force of the beam can cause targets to be knocked back as well. The target must succeed on a strength saving throw equal to your spell save DC or be knocked back 15ft. If the target is knocked into a wall or other solid object, they take an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage.
