This spell is similar to Invisibility, but the recipient is able to attack an opponent spellcasting, melee or ranged combat while remaining unseen. Note, however, that traces (such as a glimmering effect) sometimes allow an observant opponent to attack the invisible spell recipient. These traces are only noticeable when specifically looked for (after the invisible character has made his presence known). Attacks against the invisible character suffer a -4 penalty to attack rolls, and the invisible character's Saving Throws are made with a +4 bonus.
This spell effectively has 2 states: invisible and undetected and invisible but detected.
- While undetected, the spell acts just like normal invisibility.
- Once detected:
- The spell effectively becomes a buff with the spell target gaining a +4 AC bonus and +4 Saving Throw bonuses.
- The recipient is still safe from magics that effect single targets (but not from AoE spells and physical attacks)
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the duration is extended at + 1 rd./level.
