You create an arcanimus that houses your soul made from the material used to cast this spell. This item counts as a magical item that cannot be destroyed by non magical means.

Once your soul is housed in this vessel it will act similarly to a Lich’s Phylactery requiring a soul to be sacrificed to the arcanimus once per new moon (once a month) otherwise the spell will be broken.

The arcanimus grants the user a renewable body and your physical body does not age past the point where your race reaches maturity, but you can still get sick. When the caster’s body is broken by accident or assault, the will and mind of the caster drains from it, leaving only a lifeless corpse behind. Thick glowing smoke leaves the arcanimus beginning to coalesce and within 1d6 days, a new body reforms within 100ft of the arcanimus with one level of exhaustion and a temporary madness from the long-term madness table. The body you enter may not be the body you were previously in but the body you now command will become your race over 1d10 days physically changing until it resembles your true body.

During the resurrection period your soul is trapped in the arcanimus and you cannot take any actions or move. The arcanimus needs to remain motionless during this time or the smoke will begin to dissipate and the process must start anew. If the arcanimus is destroyed while you are trapped in it you are killed.
