You touch an object or surface and cause it to thrum with a high-pitch, droning vibration for up to a minute. For the duration of the spell, all natural insects, bugs, spiders, centipedes, and similar invertebrate creepy-crawlies - including their giant varieties - are repelled by the noise. Any such beast within a 15 ft. radius of the designated point must do what it can to vacate the area as quickly as possible, and cannot enter the affected area of its own free will. If an affected creature has an Intelligence score of 6 or higher, such as a giant spider afflicted by an awaken spell, it may attempt to contest the warding effect of the spell. To do so, it must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be repelled by the spell as normal. On a success, the creature is immune to the spell for the next minute.

The vibration is perceivable to creatures that have tremorsense, and effectively blinds them to anything within the spell's area of effect by means of over stimulation in much the same way that loud noise will mask a quiet conversation. The sound made by the vibration is also audible to creatures within the spell's range that have keen hearing. Such creatures will respond to the vibration according to their nature. For all other creatures, the vibration is only audible within 5 feet of the spell's origin, and as a minor, unconscious irritant beyond that.

The spell's area of effect increases when you reach certain levels: 30-foot radius at 5th level, 60-foot radius at 11th level, and 120-foot radius at 17th level.
