This spell liquifies a creature you touch, distorting their form and giving them an ooze-like consistency. An unwilling creature must make a constitution saving throw to avoid the effect. Shapechangers and Oozes automatically succeed this check.

Whilst this spell is active, the creature’s form becomes malleable and translucent, allowing them to move through the spaces of other creatures and to pass through gaps as narrow as an inch. For the duration of the spell, the affected creature loses its flying and burrowing speeds, and gain movement and swim speeds of 20ft if they do not already have them. The affected creature also gains the ability to breathe underwater and resistance to non-magical damage for the spell’s duration.

An affected creature can only use objects that it was carrying when the spell takes effect, and may only lift, carry or manipulate other objects weighing up to 10lbs. Any objects worn or held when the spell was cast cannot be dropped, and damage rolls made with affected weapons deal 1d4 less damage (this can’t reduce damage below 1). Due to their more malleable form, any fall damage the affected creature takes during the spell’s duration is halved (rounded down).

The affected creature may attempt to blend with transparent liquids or disguise itself as a small puddle if they remain motionless whilst doing so. Whilst motionless in this manner, an affected creature has advantage on dexterity (stealth) checks and may take the Hide action as a bonus action. Creatures attempting to ascertain the true nature of the puddle must make an intelligence (investigation) check, versus a DC equal to the spellcaster’s spell save DC.

When this spell ends, the creature reverts to its previous form. If the creature is in a space too small for their size, they are forcibly ejected to the nearest space large enough for them, taking 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every 5 feet travelled.

If any part of the creatures form is split while the spell is active, all but the largest section evaporates and the missing areas painlessly reform. If the spell effect ends and the affected creature is missing a significantly large part of their body, the creature’s body reverts to their previous form but they lose half their total hit die as their body is taxed by the reformation. If this would reduce a creatures remaining hit die past 0, the creature gains a stage of exhaustion. A section of the body large enough to be deemed as "significant" is up to your DM.

At higher levels: The affected creature also gains a climbing speed equal to half its movement speed (With a minimum speed of 10ft).
