You create two homing darts of spriraling flame. Each dart hits a creature of your choice that you can see within range. A dart deals 1d4 + 1 fire damage to its target. In addition, the darts ignite upon impact, leaving the target covered in clinging embers. Targets still covered in these embers at the start of your next turn take an additional 1d4+1 fire damage. A target or adjacent creature can use it's action to pat out the embers, nullifying this effect. The embers also dissipate under any effect that might put out a fire, such as a target being doused in water, or the target being prone when the embers would normally deal damage. The embers only last for a maximum of one round. All darts strike simultaneously, and you can direct them to hit one creature or several.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell creates one more dart for each slot level above 1st.
