You leech all heat from a 15-foot cube originating from you. Each creature caught in the cube must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d8 cold damage and takes one level of exhaustion. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and does not take a level of exhaustion.
In addition bodies of water, or liquids that are principally water, within the area freeze. This ice lasts for 1 minute. Creatures that were swimming in the frozen water are trapped in the ice. A trapped creature can use an action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC to break free.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the area increases by 5 feet for each level above 3rd.
