Lesser telepathy, in the beginning, is similar to a lie detector, it reads the feelings of the mind, the higher the level of the user the better they can read the mind of the being. From level 1 to level 5 the being that this spell is cast on can feel the reading and will know who it is if they roll a perception check of at least 13. From level 5 to 10 the being will only know what is being attempted if they have their wisdom higher than 14. At level 10 the user has the ability to read the surface of the mind and can attempt to reach deeper (the deeper they go the more noticeable the attempt is) but will have to throw an intelligence check of 15 plus the being's wisdom modifier. At level 15 the creature now has the ability to deep read a being's mind if the being rolls a lower wisdom check than the user's intelligence. At level 20 the user now has the ability to read the mind of a being as well as strongly influence them if they fail a constitution save lower than 18.
The being that this is being used on will experience pressure on their ears, behind their eyes, have a pounding headache, the most notable is that they hear the users conscious. The higher the level of the user is the harder it is to tell since the symptoms become less noticeable. Before level 10 the being will continue to hear the user's consciousness but it becomes increasingly difficult to detect. After level 10 the sensation turns to a slight tug in the being's mind as well as a sense of Deja Vu. After level 15 the only time the being can tell this spell is being used on them is if the user tries to read their mind deeper and they failed their wisdom check. For level 14 and lower whenever the user tries to go deep into the being's mind the being experiences a splitting headache, almost like someone is tearing their brain apart. At level 20, if the being fails their constitution save then the influence just sounds like a strong thought and something they must execute.
