You create two small spinning elemental blades, one made of fire and one made of ice, in your space. They float in the air and stay close to your hands for the spell’s duration. When you cast the spell — and as an action on each of your turns thereafter — you can hurl each of these stars, sending them streaking toward a point or points you choose within 60 feet of you. Once a star reaches its destination or impacts against a solid surface, the blade slices and quickly returns to your hands. A creature takes 1d4 fire damage or 1d4 cold damage on a hit depending on which star you impacted with.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the number of elemental stars created increases by one for every two spell slot level above 1st. At 3rd level you gain a star made of electricity that deals 1d6 lightning damage, at 5th level you gain a star made of acid that deals 1d8 acid damage, at 7th level you gain a star made of necrotic energy that deals 1d10 necrotic energy, and at 9th level you gain a star made of radiant energy that deals 1d12 radiant damage.
