"Being silenced is not an excuse for inaction." -M. Starsoul

A blade shaped from force energy manifests in your hand, or is projected from the tip of a wand, rod, or focus you hold, which forms the handle. The blade is weightless and is sized appropriately for a creature of the caster’s size. The caster uses their spellcasting modifier (Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma) in place of their strength or dexterity modifier when making attack and damage rolls with this weapon, and the caster is always considered to be proficient with this weapon.

The Blade of the Magus functions as a longsword, dealing 1d8 plus the caster's spellcasting modifier in slashing damage, plus an additional 1d6 force damage. This weapon is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming damage resistance.

As a reaction, the wielder can attempt to deflect magic missiles with the sword if they succeed on a dexterity saving throw vs the opposing spellcaster's spell save DC. If they attempt to deflect more than one magic missile in this manner, they must make a saving throw for each missile they attempt to deflect.

The caster can dismiss or summon the blade as a free action during the spell's duration, but may only summon it and dismiss it once per round.

The sword vanishes at the end of the spell's duration, if the spellcaster is disarmed or attempts to throw the sword, or if the spellcaster attempts to give the sword to another creature.

At Higher Levels: When cast as a higher level spell, the force damage inflicted increases by 1d6 for every two spell levels. (1d6 at 2nd, 2d6 at 4th, 3d6 at 6th, 4d6 at 8th) In addition, the attack bonus for the sword increases by 1 for every two levels past 2nd. (+1 at 4th, +2 at 6th, +3 at 8th)
