A skin-tight invisible barrier of antimagic surrounds you. This area is divorced from the magical energy that suffuses the multiverse. Until the spell ends, the barrier moves with you, centered on you.
Spells and other magical effects, except those created by an artifact or a deity, are suppressed in the barrier and can't protrude into it. A slot expended to cast a suppressed spell is consumed. While an effect is suppressed, it doesn't function, but the time it spends suppressed counts against its duration.
This spell acts as a smaller, more versatile and advanced version of [spell]Antimagic Shield. Any magic items that cross the barrier are temporarily transformed into mundane items, dealing nonmagical damage, and spells entering the barrier are nullified entirely.
Simultaneously, any magic item the caster is wearing or holding retains its magical properties so long as the caster has a thin layer of something else between said item and their skin (i.e. gloves, or a very light padding or even just undergarments).
Additionally, if the caster is wearing gloves, a shifting magic circle appears upon them, granting the caster the ability to manipulate the magical energies outside of the barrier and cast spells.
