You tear down the confidence of a creature you can see within range using magically laced insults and manipulative words. The message is delivered telepathically so that only the target can hear it. The target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, for the duration, it can not add its proficiency bonus to any roll it makes, and any bonus it would add to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw can no exceed 8. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the spell on a success.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the maximum amount which an affected creature can add to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw decreases by 1 for each slot level above 4th.
