Touching a creature, you send a wave of energy through the body, forcing the creature to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d6 necrotic damage plus 3d6 bludgeoning damage, and has its movement speed reduced by half until it finishes a short or long rest. If this spell is cast on the same creature a second time and fails its saving throw again, its movement speed becomes 0 and it gains one point of Exhaustion; at this point, the creature regains its movement speed after one day of either resting or no more than light activities.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 5th-level or higher spell slot, the necrotic and bludgeoning damage dealt by this spell is increased by 1d6 for every spell slot above 4th.
