You brandish the ammunition used in the spell’s casting and make a ranged attack with it against one creature within the weapon's range. On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack’s normal effects and also takes an additional 1d6 force damage.  Additionally, magical energy erupts around the ammunition as it strikes it's target.  Each creature within 5 feet of the original target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 force damage.  

On a failed save, a creature is pushed back 5 feet away from the original target.  The original target of the ranged attack is pushed back 5 feet automatically.  

This spell’s damage increases when you reach certain levels. At 5th level, both the damage on a hit and the explosion damage increases by 1d6 (2d6 and 2d6).  Both damage rolls increase by 1d8 at 11th level (3d6 and 3d6) and again at 17th level (4d6 and 4d6).
