When a humanoid creature enters a space within 5 feet of you but is not actively attacking you, you may use your reaction to cast this spell. You reach out and lay a hand on the target while muttering the dark and wicked words of the incantation. You conjure fearful visions in the target's mind that are terrible and unique to each target. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become so overwhelmed with fear and grief that it begins attacking itself in an attempt to end its own life. The spell continues until the target succeeds on a Wisdom saving throw at the start of each of its turns. On failed saving throws, the target must immediately take all available melee attack rolls on itself, and then its turn ends. On a successful throw, it becomes frightened and must attempt to move at least 30 feet away from the caster where the spell ends.

The spell may be cast as a Ritual with a casting time of 1 hour, provided the caster knows the target's location within 120 feet, the caster holds some physical piece of the target (e.g., hair, skin, blood, etc.), and the target has not attacked the caster within the past 24 hours.
