Chains of Agony

You lash out with ethereal gold-red chains at a target creature you can see within range. The target creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On failure, the chains seize hold of the creature, binding it to you. As long as this spell remains in effect, you gain resistance to all forms of damage. When you take damage, the remaining half of the reduced damage is transferred to the chained creature, ignoring resistances.

The spell ends if you drop to 0 hit points or if you and the target become separated by more than 60 feet. It also ends if the spell is cast again on either of the connected creatures. You can also dismiss the spell as an action.

A creature can choose to fail the saving throw against this spell.
