Briar Lash

You evoke a long, thorn-covered briar in your free hand. The briar is similar in function to a 20-foot whip, and it lasts until the spell ends. It counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient. If you let go of the briar, it disappears, but you can evoke the briar again as a bonus action.

It deals 2d4 piercing damage on a hit and has the finesse and reach properties (reach 20 ft). In addition, when you use the briar to attack a target that is Large or smaller, you pull the target up to 10 feet closer to you.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 2d4 for every two slot levels above 2nd.
