A source of inner flame surges on the tip of your finger as you point to the ground, creating a flow of fire energy towards the position of four creatures you choose within sight. Beneath the chosen targets emerges a rise of striking fire torrent in a shape of a helix that surrounds and burns their body. Each creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 7d8 fire damage on a failed save. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage.

If the caster chooses to direct the flow of fire energy onto one target only, the creature will take 10d8 fire damage on a failed save and becomes incapacitated, preventing it to take actions and reactions until the end of their next turn. the creature takes half as much damage on a successful one and suffers no other effect.

If there is a creature five feet adjacent to the targets, it will then take and remove the 1d8 fire damage prior to the 7d8 fire damage. The spell ignites flammable objects in the area that aren’t being worn or carried.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 4th.
