You create a magical defense that has 30 hit points. If you are hit by a ranged weapon artack, the damage is not taken by you, but by the defense. If the projectile can be caught, it is held by the defense. You can simultaneously hold a number of projectiles equal to your base attribute modifier. As an action, you can fire trapped projectiles at a target within range. Make a ranged spell attack, on a hit the target takes 1d6 piercing damage for each projectile caught. If the defense drops to zero hit points, the spell ends.

At higher levels. If you cast this spell using a slot of 4th level or higher, your defense gains 10 hit points for each slot level above 3rd level.
