You attempt to erase another creature's memories. One creature that you can see must make a Wisdom saving throw. If you are fighting the creature, it has advantage on the saving throw. On a failed save, you remove 1 minute of the creatures most recent memories. To that creature it was as if they spaced out, and they don't remember what happened during that minute.
If they succeed their save, they know you were trying to removed their memories.
A remove curse or greater restoration spell cast on the target restores the creature's memory.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can either target one additional humanoid for each slot level above 1st or you can increase the duration of memories removed by a multiplier of 2 per level. (i.e at 2nd level the spell removes 2 minutes of their memory, and at 9th level it removes 256 minutes of their memories.)
